Last Saturday, the husband and I, along with a few good friends of ours, marched for marriage equality in Seattle. The march started at Volunteer Park in Seattle's famously "gay" Capitol Hill neighborhood and wound its way downtown to Westlake Center. The estimated turnout was a whopping 6,000+ people!

Many protesters were carrying signs they made themselves. Some were protesting the passing of California's Prop 8, others the notion of "separate but equal" civil unions, and many more were simply statements of love and support. Some signs were quite humorous and clever. We carried signs that we made ourselves the night before.
