Hooray, my editor at the Seattle Weekly liked my review and almost immediately hooked me up with a new one, this time at The ACT Theater. I'll link to my latest review online tomorrow.
Justin's 26th birthday is tomorrow, and I plan to make it up to him for forgetting our anniversary. It was, after all, my focus on his birthday that made me forget in the first place. We'll be spending this weekend in Eugene with friends pretending we wouldn't otherwise be playing World of Warcraft. (Thankfully, I'm actually enjoying that little vice now, otherwise I'd never see my boyfriend.)
I am feeling much calmer and slightly more in-focus than previously. The initial steps I made to work on my anxiety (meds/therapy) were good choices to get me started on a productive path of re-centering myself. I've been trying to start meditating and keeping a paper journal but so far, failing. Even with a little more calm in my life, there still aren't enough hours in the day. I'll soon be getting up early(er) with the hopes of setting up a healthy morning ritual for myself and maybe getting a hold of some introspective goodness.
I'm shying a bit away from personal exposure in a public forum. At least, in this respect. I won't be sharing many details of these changes in my life, primarily because I feel it's more "healing" to keep them more private. (I guess it just stresses me less.) In lieu, however, and also in order to revisit a creative hobby I've set aside, I want to start photographing more. After all, I have this beautiful piece of equipment and I ought to use it!
My gallery is working again, so you can now check out some photos from the first bout of this year's Rat City Roller Girls season!
