Justin and I painted the master bedroom in our apartment this weekend. His mom agreed to get us the paint and supplies as a housewarming present, and we cleared it with the building's owner months ago. We'd been planning on it since before we moved in here, but as we didn't have an opportunity to do it before we moved our stuff in, and then were struck by the holidays, we never got around to it. Finally, it is done! A lovely lavender, which, while it makes the room a bit darker, gives it quite the soothing hue.

Between arranging my stuffies and arranging a sunflower in my hanging vase, Justin crowed about what a manly color it is. Good thing, too, because he is the manliest of men and he did pick up the paint himself. I'm just satisfied that we can no longer see the crappy paint job underneath it.

Hurrah for domesticity!

Note & Update: I wish we'd taken some before, during, and after pictures... esp. of little Rupert frolicking underneath the tarp on the bed, but we didn't. Here are a few pics of the room. Click to enlarge:

It's almost a grey. Grey-lavender. I like it. All those flowers, though-- that's what'll strip him of his manhood, right there. ;)
